Türkiye’s Advancement in Armored Warfare: The Introduction of the Altay Tank
On October 28, 2025, Türkiye marked a significant milestone in its defense capabilities with the formal delivery of its first Altay main battle tanks (MBTs). - 2025: Initial delivery of three Altay tanks.
 - 2028: Further delivery of 85 tanks in the T1 configuration.
 - Post-2028: Commencement of the delivery of 165 Altay tanks in the T2 configuration.
 
Contract for Serial Production
On May 29, 2024, the SSB confirmed a significant contract for the serial production of the Altay MBT. This agreement delineates the establishment of a serial production line, which will streamline the manufacturing process and facilitate the timely delivery of these advanced armored units.
