Fielding Timeline
- The U.S. Army began deploying the nine-passenger ISV configurations in 2024 as part of its Transforming in Contact (TiC) initiative, strategically evolving Infantry Brigade Combat Teams into Mobile Brigade Combat Teams (MBCTs).
- The ISV Utility (ISV-U), a variant designed to accommodate five personnel, is expected to be operational for soldiers starting as early as May 2026, as indicated by GM Defense spokesperson Erica Mitchell.
Collaborative Development Approach
Major General Johnson highlighted the collaborative efforts that contributed to the timely delivery of the ISV Utility. He stated:
- “The only reason the Army will receive the ISV Utility next year is due to our shared risk strategy and proactive development.
